A Spoonful of Sugar

Mary takes two medications - 25 mcg synthroid (hypothyroid) and 1/4 baby aspirin (blood thinner), every night.
When we first brought her home from the hospital, we were mixing the crushed tablets with breastmilk and giving it to her in a syringe. There was so much that stuck to the sides, though, that I was sure she wasn't getting it all. After a couple of days I started just giving it to her dry. I would moisten my finger in her mouth, dip it in the powder, and then dip back in her mouth. Repeat. She has never once cried - even though the synthroid isn't particularly tasty. Sometimes she even smiles and coos during meds. She really is amazing.
