Tonight we had our Winter Celebration at church. I entered two cakes in the "Bake, Oh Bake Me As I Am" Dessert Contest. Sadly, I didn't win anything (the competition is fierce in all things Rez), but Mary indulged in some goodies~

Surfing the Web

From my lap, Mary climbed onto the desktop and then the computer. She actually stood straight up for a couple of seconds, grinning at herself in the mirror. She was on her way down when Scott returned with the camera.

Cat Nap

Although Noe's been pretty good with Mary, many times she's responsible for waking her up (swatting at her feet or something). Today she decided to take advantage of the quiet~

Feeling Better

Strep :(

Mary had an intermittent, low grade fever all weekend. Last night it spiked to 103, so I took her into the pediatrician this morning. The rapid strep test came back positive. I'm not looking forward to forcing antibiotics down her (she screamed and spit it out this morning when Scott gave her the first dose) twice a day for the next week and a half...
Edited to add: Tuesday, January 20th - After filling a second prescription of the chewable antibiotic, which she also spit out, she took her liquid medicine like a big girl this morning - yay!!

Layers

We stayed in today because it was way below zero outside! Even so, Mary wanted to dress for the weather. I had put her in the blue outfit, but she pulled the black jumper out of the laundry I was folding and, "uh, uh, uh-ed" until I put it over her head. Then when the boys and I were cleaning their room, she found the purple beads and threw that on to go with the amber necklace she always wears. She definitely knows what she wants :) Here she is enjoying some of the bread her brothers baked~

Snow Angel

This was Mary's first time playing in the snow. She doesn't like wearing the boots, and her Robeez aren't waterproof. Today, though, she saw the boys playing outside and relented to wearing the hard soled monstrosities :)

Fridge Raider

Every time we open the refrigerator, Mary comes running. She cries when we take her out to close the door. She doesn't even take much stuff out. She just likes to climb in it, and stand there.
